Please Pray For Ben
12/2009-Our Veterinarian,Dr.Homan, has had a family emergency this past week and has been pulled out of the state for a few weeks. His son, Ben, contracted Swine Flu and Mersa Pnemonia early last week. Thursday night both infections overwhelmed him and Ben was found unconcious and barley breathing Friday morning by his Uncle. He is being treated but has suffered severe irreversible brain damage. He spent several days in a coma, and the doctors were unsure if he would ever recover. However, Ben is doing much better then expected, he is now off the ventilator, and sitting up some, even showing some facial expressions! Ben still has a long recovery ahead of him. The Homan family is asking that everyone please pray for Ben and their family as they deal with this tradegy one day at a time. We are wishing them the best and we know Ben is a strong young man- our prayers are with you Ben!
1/20-Just want to give everyone an update: Ben is doing amazing!! He is now able to move all four limbs, can speak, stand with assistance, and is now even eating!! This is truley a miracle!! Please continue to pray for Ben throughout his recovery as he still has several more months of rehabilitation to go-but we are sure he will stay strong and continue to amaze us!
Dr.Homan and our staff greatly appreciate the compassion and understanding that our clients have shown during this trying time for the Homan family.
Dr.Homan will be back with us next week for appointments and surgeries as of January 25th
Dr.Homan will continue to work on Mondays and Tuesdays every week, and will spend the rest of the week with his son as he recovers further in Morgantown.
